The St. Croix Valley Baseball Association (SCVBA) has announced its tryout dates for the 2009 baseball season. SCVBA fielded 14 teams in 2008 providing over 170 area youth the opportunity to play quality amateur baseball in the St. Croix Valley. Kids age's 10U-15U of varying abilities (A, AA, AAA) play in the competitive Metro Baseball League.

New in 2009, Minnesota Baseball Academy, the Upper Midwest's preeminent baseball training organization, will provide player evaluations during the SCVBA baseball tryouts.

Players are required to attend at least two tryout sessions and are expected to attend all three. Please note that outdoor tryouts will not be held for the 10-14 age divisions. Once tryouts begin, no refunds will be made except to participants who are cut. The SCVBA Board gives individual consideration to injured players unable to participate in tryouts.

Final team placements will be announced within two weeks of the final tryout date. Outdoor tryouts for the 15-year old division will be held in April. Final team placements will be announced within two weeks of the final tryout date. Tryout information for the 15-year old age group will be announced when dates and locations are determined.
